i have always had the problem of a strong will and seeing it as God's. i have been uninvolved in relationships with men for over nine years due to bad judgement and the inability to see God's will through my own. my first priority in a man is a faith in God, followed by no drugs and/or alcohol. i recently got involved with a man i've known nearly 30 years as a friend. we talked alot about our beliefs and faith in God. we have become very involved...now i find he drinks. too much. such an intelligent, kind and gentle, loving man. but cannot control the urge to drink. cannot limit drinking. loses himself and the possibility of a very loving future. he has a young son that needs to know God and also understand the true building blocks for a strong, healthy relationship before he follows in the footsteps of his father. the cycle needs to end here. now. we truly love each other, and need help in suppressing the urge and desire to drink until those around him no longer want to be around him. i KNOW the power of prayer. share that with us please. i ask God's blessing on us as a couple, and suppression of the desire to drink in the heart of this otherwise wonderful man and father. for wisdom and strength which i do not have and look to God to find for myself and the man i love. i thought if the first priority was met, the rest would follow. will it? can it? i pray so hard for it to be true.

Dear God, it is SO awesome to see lives come together, in Your grace. When things get hectic, Father, there's a weakness, in all of us to want to take the controls, into our own hands...remind our hearts that YOU are the one who can guide our lives. Where there is struggle calm their hearts and give them endurance to trust completely, in You - even if Your willas isn't theirs. In JESUS' Name, amen

Lord Christ Jesus; I ask it in YOur name; Jesus I rebuke and bind all alcohol ,temptation in this man, take his taste, his desire for it away. Jesus mentor and teach him. Place a servent into his life, so that he is lead to you, saved and redeemed. Jesus fill this woman with Your wisdom, knowledgle, intellegence, understanding. Fill her with the right path to take and fill them both with the right pathways in life. Jesus if it is your will for this man and woman to marry I pray there is healing first, that they seek You throughout life. Jesus keep Your hand on the boy; and protect him, place Your blood covering over him and keep him. Amen.
